Halo's CX8831CQ Automotive-Grade Chip Adopted in Volume by Multiple Automakers, Certified Under Both PD3.2 and AEC-Q100

Halo Microelectronics (688173.SH) announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Shenzhen CXW Technology Co., Ltd., has achieved volume deployment of its automotive-grade USB charging chip, CX8831CQ. Multiple automakers have already adopted this solution and entered the mass shipment phase. The chip integrates a synchronous buck (DC-DC) converter and a USB PD protocol controller in a single die, eliminating the need for an external protocol IC and discrete MOSFETs. This chip enables a highly integrated, low-BOM single USB-C car charger, ideal for automakers and Tier-1 suppliers.
CX8831CQ has successfully completed PD3.2 compliance testing at GRL, an official USB-IF Authorized Test Lab (TID: 13382), and has obtained AEC-Q100 Grade 2 automotive certification. As one of the few automotive SoCs to hold both credentials, it is fully qualified to meet the stringent environmental demands of OEM automotive applications and 24V commercial vehicle—a critical prerequisite for securing volume production orders from automakers.
